Rated 4 out of 5Â by Emilyb555 Great rod
This is a great rod only complaint is the reel is poorly made. I would recommend to immediately change the line on it because the line quality is awful and immediately tangles after a couple casts. Overall I'm happy with my purchase.

I ordered this as my own birthday and mothers day gift from my husband and 2 boys. I wanted a pink pole with all the boy stuff around! It casts great, very smooth when realing in. I am using it for fishing on NY's fingerlakes and on Lake Ontario. Not for large fish, primarily pan fish, bass, perch etc. It is great for the weekend fishing mom who likes to spend outdoor time with the family.

I bought this for my wife. She has been using cheap combo's for the past two years. This is her first reel set up (<- Get it?) and she loves it!

This rod is not that strong more of a light fishing for freshwater. however, if the fish are not that big then you would be ok trying it for saltwater.
