you can feel everything with this rod
has plenty of action and cast very well..
if it wasn't pink i would have one for myself
the wife loves it, the ML is perfect for a Lady, it is lite and strong, has held up for over a year now we have had it, we fish 2 or 3 times a week, I just bought a second one for her and bought 2 new prolite reels and she loves them, makes a great combo, make a super lite weight rig....
i have used it a few time myself and i must say cast great and very lite rig, just wish it wasn't pink, as for doing the ugly stick bend test, i have no clue, but bending a rod in half no matter what type it is, is not a good idea, you are only going to stretch the glass and cause fracture and weaken it, ALL UGLY STICK are awesome rods and cost very little compared to other on the market...REMEMBER Ugly Sticks were the first to make this type of rod and all other have follow,
you can't go wrong with this or any Ugly stick they hold up for years.....lot of bang for the buck...

i own a uglystick and have beat it off rocks dropped it stepped on it even shut it in the trunk and i still wouldnt be afraid to do the uglustick test to prove just how good a rod they are. just got this rod in yesterday and it never made it out the baitshops door. did the ugly stick test and much to my shock and suprise the Shakespeare® Ugly Stik® Ladies' Casting Rod SNAPPED IN HALF!!! needless to say my girlfriend wont be using this one to go catfishing with me.
