The very best rod for catching 30 to 50lb stripers in te chesapeke bay absolutely the best rod for the money. I have 12 of these rods and i need 6 more & going to get them as soon as i can.

I have been using the 8' Ugly Stick Custom rods for the last three years to catch striped bass up to 45 lbs. These rods are in my opinion the perfect boat rod for fish in this size range. The foul proof guides are excellent!!! This purchase makes 5 of these rods that I own and fish with regularly.

By far the best of the ugly stik rods. Gives you the performance of a far higher price rod. Have 3 of this model for multiple functions

The tip top guide on this rod broke on the first fish I caught - a small (8 lb) albie. The guide ring pulled right off of the feet that hold it in place. I may have just had a faulty rod. Bass Pro will take it back and hopefully the second one holds up better. I was very dissapointed with this fist one though.
