Rated 5 out of 5 by mattL Good catfish rod So far this rod has worked great. I haven't caught anything too massive on it, but it handled the 1-12 pound blues and channels nicely! It has plenty of backbone, but its still sensitive enough to feel slow, less aggressive bites. April 27, 2010

Rated 4 out of 5 by chowfun Quality rod at an affordable price Flexible enough to cast smaller baits way out there and enough back-bone to set the hook and haul the big ones back to shore. March 22, 2010

A:Ya but it's a little stiff for small fish perfect for 5lbs and up
A:I used this rod fishing for Northern Pike in Quebec this passed summer and it performed very well. I would be very comfortable using it for muskies, blues or any other good fighting fish.

A:Yes you can use this rod for other fish. I have used this rod for catfish more than any other species, but I have used it for bass, walleye, and muskie too and it works great for all of them.
