Love this rod!!Got a real nice handle length.I use it for flathead catfish river fishing.I usually fish 6-8 ozs +bait, these handle it perfectly. It got nice backbone to it and gets it out there at distance. It has a stiffer action than the 12'H casting.I do almost all of my flathead fishing with Bigwater Uglies.I don't think they can be beat for their price!I've fished them hard and haven't had one let me down yet.Nice to have the 5 year guarantee to boot!!

This rod is a behemoth! I bought it for snagging paddle fish. It works really well. You can launch your rig a mile, and pull up a ton of line with every pull. Also has a ton of backbone for setting the hook and fighting the fish. You can really lean on this rod and it can take it. One drawback for snagging purposes is it can wear you out in no time. It is a workout to use for this purpose. I personally could live with a much shorter handle. The handle section is about 4' long. Can be awkward at times, but is handy for casting long distances. If you need a rod to launch a heavy rig long distances for big fish, this will do the job!
