Rated 4 out of 5 by Stealth Fishing A great tool for going stealth on the lake or river. I can get into places where before, between boat noise and overhanging trees and bushes, it just wasn't possibble. Well, now it is!!!! October 18, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by very good reel I bought this reel about a little over a month ago and have used it many times. No problems with the reel, very smooth. Shakespeare is a name I've come to trust over the years and this reel shows why its a great reel for the price which is so low. My only problem is the line, its too got too much stretch. This is a great product that is ready to go right out of the box. September 21, 2011
Rated 3 out of 5 by Poor factory spool of line. I went out to use my new rod & reel [Synergy reel], and evidently I made the mistake of leaving on the line that the reel came with. I made about ten casts and then the line got caught up inside the reel and created a pretty nasty tangle. Needless to say I can not give a complete review. I do wonder if other people have encountered anything similar? August 21, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by so far so good i bought the original combo set in 1997,the reel recently wore out,so i found this as a replacement and so far so good.if it holds up like the first reel,i will be happy, this is no fish story but in 1998 trout season in bradford,pa i was fishing sugar run and some how i hooked a 39 1/2" northern pike with this rig and 6lb line and a rooster tail,3hrs later we brought on shore and i since always buy ugly sticks combos with out fear.
