This is a great reel for the Money. I use them for light and medium weight fishing. on inland lakes
and ponds. I have caught crappie bass and saugeye on it. Just put it on the rod and go fishing.

i was looking for a reel to replace the new 33 zebco that i don't care for. the shakespear ti10 cast and retrives well, i use it for pan fish and have caught some catfish up to 2 lbs. i think it is a good choice for this type of fishing .

Thumb button again and again
Everything about the reel is fine, but when the thumb button breaks and you cannot find a new one because no one wants to carry a part for such an inexpensive reel and if you did find one you would pay more for the part and shipping than a new synergy would cost. I have had this same problem with lower cost abumatics, pfluegers, and shakespears. Cheap little plastic pins break inside and the thumb button and reel is then useless.

Junky, junk, junky!
I had this reel for half the summer, used it for anything under 10lb. It worked really well until one day it started jamming when I went to cast...the like wasn't old and it was stren which never gave me problems. I had to rip out half the line every time just to get it to cast, and finally one day the line went up under the metal cap in a very hard to fix spot. This was my breaking point, I took it off the rod and throw it in the trash where it belonged!!!
