Great reel!!! I recently purchased this reel based on other reviews, and believe me, they were all true!!!...I fish for bass at my local lake and this reel fits the bill...very smooth action, and I was amazed at the casting distance!!...I plan on buying another one to throw out some live bait while I work my retrieve baits on the other one.....great reel!!...give it a try!! Broke out of the box I bought two of these reels, I got one rigged up and it broke after the first cast. The other one has been a ok reel. July 12, 2014
Smooth and Tangle Free Great reel for the angler looking for bluegill, red ear, and other small fish. The 6 lb. test line is strong and the reel casts smoothly and silently. July 1, 2014

I was thinking about pairing this with a 6' med. and some braid. Does anyone have some suggestions or a similar setup?

Here's the problem I've found with braided line in this type of reel Manny. Braided line retains water and slime, once it's wound up inside this reel it makes a mess. This in turn effects casting and the overall smoothness of the reel, stick with mono.
