Best ultralight spincast Without many options for ultralight spincast reels, this one is arguably the best. The drag takes a bit to dial in. June 10, 2014
Good beginner rod Yes, it has its problems. I've caught 6 catfish (2lb's) and a 3lb bass on it. There not terrible reels, there just not amazing. If it doesn't reel in the line, pull it tight like you would if you were re-spooling it. The tension will make it reel in. I accidentally dropped it in the water and it still works fine, gears are starting to grind but I've had it for 2 months now. June 6, 2012
NO GOOD fished with this reel TWO times. Totally useless. Don't buy this one! October 12, 2010
Excellent Backpack Reel Bought this to mate with collapsable rod to stuff in backpack for hiking and kayaking. Chose this for compact size, low profile, and cost. Normally fish for trout with 4# line so this is excellent (can take up to 6# line). Wasn't sure about casting and only planned on jigging off side of kayak... but this casts great! Lots of fun. I just love this reel. Smooth casting and retrival. Don't understand the negative reviews. October 6, 2010
