Rated 4 out of 5 by Ok So far it's held up to some bass and sea trout. Kids love it. December 10, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by StCroixPMartin Ol Lady Loves it. She aint crazy about the pink but the money goes to a good cause. And the line that comes with it might need replaced. but other than that....no complaints what so ever. Good deal for the price. April 16, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Combo! I purchased this combo about 3yrs ago and have beat it to DEATH, and it just keeps going. I'm not sure why others have had issues because I am HARD on equipment. I fish freshwater ponds, lakes, and rivers and the only thing that has broke is the handle on the rod (which was replaced with another shakespeare handle). My dad and brother, who pay $100+ for rods & reels like this combo too, the only reason they don't steal it is because it's PINK. February 15, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not Good I bought this for my daughter and while pulling line out to set drag about 5 inches of the end of the rod broke off. I have lots of shakespeare rods and have had good service out of most of them. Maybe just lemon but the one we got was junk. July 8, 2012
