This is a great combo. Very sensitive for the price, plenty of backbone. Like most reels that are pre-spooled the line on it isn't very good so I would respool right away. Very satisfied with this combo.

i bought this pole a couple of weeks ago, and it has been a very good rod a reel, i like Shakespeare a lot they last a long time. the reason i bought it is cause i needed a pole that will last me awhile and have a good ice pole. all in all it's a good one. buy it can't beat the price!!

i bought this rod n reel last year and have caught lots of fish on it. yesterday i went and used it on lake elizabeth in twin lakes, WI and limited out on perch in an hour and a half and had no problems with it but i would recomend an upgrade on line. it comes with 4lb and i suggest 1 or 2lb. overall awesome deal.
