Shakespeare understands that if kids can catch fish more easily, they’ll be more likely to enjoy themselves. Beginning anglers will catch more fish—and have more fun—with the Catch More Fish Combos. They make getting into fishing easy because they’re ready to fish right out of the box. Each one is pre-rigged with Stren® fishing line and Berkley® PowerBait® lures chosen to catch certain kinds of fish or succeed in specific environments. Plus, each one comes with a rigging guide—a great knot-tying and bait-choosing resource to help kids learn the ropes.

Rated 5 out of 5 One Of The Best Poles Ever!!! I just purchased this pole and it comes with almost everything a bass fisherman needs to get started. I bought this combo because I was pulling in a big fish and when i got it off the hook the real was broken. This combo is good for anyone even if you are an expert. this pole can land some huge bass, and I love this new pole! =) April 4, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good buy I like how it performs I caught some big crappie with it is a good rod for your money March 20, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Great Rod, OK Reel I bought this rod for bass because I lost all of my square -bill crankbaits and had just broken my bass-rod on a carp. The reel broke when I was saltwaterfishing for snapper and a kid tried to reel it in, but the rod is sturdy and helped me land a 15# mutton fish January 12, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Purchase This was a gift for my Grandson I have not sen in 5 years, He was tickled not only to get a gift from his Grandfather, but that he bought it from Bass Pro. Bass Pro is one of his best places to go get his fishing gear. December 26, 2012

Yes yes, they do make a CATCH MORE FISH SHAKESPEARE COMBO, but do you think that if you are in an area with catfish AND bass, that you could catch catfish on THIS ROD with no problems?

there should be no problem unless you hook into one that will snap your line ... dont worry about stressed rod or reel the line breaks first 99.99% of the time
