Designed for mast mounting on sailboats or for smaller craft that "heel" on the waves. Sends out a broader signal than a 6dB antenna, ensuring better signal dispersal in rough seas (but less range). Flexible whip styles provide the best horizon-to-horizon coverage.
Stainless steel finish with tin-plated copper elements. 3', 1-piece antenna with chromed brass ferrule. 15' RG-58 lead-in and PL-259 connector. Mfrs. 2-yr. warranty.
Mount not included, please order separately.

I purchused this antenna to use with my Cobra MR F45 Fixed Mount VHF Radio. Small enough to mount to my bayboat yet strong enough to give me all the range I need.

I would use it for saltwater fishing in my 17' boat. Up to 12 miles??Answers

This is a short range antenna so height above water would be the only thing that would help increase the range for the antenna. On average, this antenna will do about 5-7 miles based on height. For the range you are looking for, you will need an 8’ antenna especially if you are on a lake or inland waterway. ThanksAnswers

heavy-duty stainless steel whip and Chrome plated brass canister. Made for Saltwater use. It is always best to rinse off with freshwater so the antenna will not rust after use in saltwater.1 of 1
