The part that holds the blade of the paddle is too small to hold my plastic/composite paddle. Luckily I checked it before mounting it to my boat!

i figured these would be cheap'o plastic holders but to my suprise they are quiet durable. I beat my boat up good and they've help up so far. would recomend to anyone

According to the manufacturer this paddle keeper can hold a paddle with up to a 6 3/4" blade.A:Â
I made my own oar. I used a hard wood closet pole, ban sawed a 3/4 " wide by 6" long knotch. Used Marine Epoxy Adhesive to attach to hand molded 27" long blade made of Doughlas Fir. Reinforced with 2 5/16" hard wood dowels through the knotch.1 of 1
