  • Double Structure fluorocarbon
  • Remarkable knot and tensile strength
  • Exceptional castability
  • Nearly invisible
  • Level Wind Technology™
  • Ideal for spinning and baitcast reels
Tatsu is an amazingly supple, fluorocarbon line that offers extraordinary knot strength, exceptional castability, and Seaguar's state-of-the-art Double Structure construction process. Created from two custom, 100% fluorocarbon resins, Tatsu has a softer exterior resin which enhances knot strength and a high-density interior resin that improves tensile strength. The innovative Double Structure process results in a high-performance fluorocarbon line that offers anglers tremendous application flexibility. Tatsu can be spooled on spinning and baitcast reels as a mainline, tied to braid as an inshore top shot and as a premium leader material. Plus, Tatsu also features Seaguar's Level Wind Technology which spools the line by laying it down side-by-side with no crossover to ensure maximum line strength without line stress or twist.
Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 24 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best line ever I use this line on an ultalite spinning rig(Wally Marshell,6 ft crappie rod and a shimano ci4 reel). It has stood up to 9 lb catfish,7lb bass, and 10lb grenal all in dense brush piles while crappie fishin. It's a bit pricey, but I love it. April 26, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Surpassed ALL expectations I used to work in a tackle store and saw this new fluorocarbon from Seaguar in my distributors catalog. I had been using the Inviz X & love it, so I bought a spool of 15 lb to try out. My brother and I went fishing in a maze of stumps, lily pads, & all other forms of cover that you would fish around. This line completely surpassed any expectations we had. It has superior knot & tinsel strength, excellent cast ability, highly sensitive & EXTREMELY abrasion resistant. I can't tell you how many times we got hung up in stumps above the surface of the water & around lily pads and NEVER ONCE did our line have any frays or signs of wear. I highly recomend this line to anyone who wants to fish with the confidence of braid with all the advantages of fluorocarbon. March 19, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great line Best fluoro I've tried. Strong and casts like a bullet. I have had no problem with memory, even with spinning reels. Lasted a whole season. Worth every penny. February 16, 2011
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not worth the price to me I am a big Seaguar fan. I use their floro exclusively, and I've tried almost every other brand out there. So, when they came out with the Tatsu, I decided to give it a try. I didn't notice any more sensitivity using this line, and I had a few break offs at the swivel. I've used both the Inviz-X and AbrazX before, and have actually bent or broke a hook before the line gave trying to free a hang-up. There are other Seaguar products that work just as well for more than half the price. September 25, 2010

Not well. I had so many problems with line unwinding on its own, memory, bird nests and backlashes that I ripped it off after one use. I use the Shimano Stradic CI4 on a CarrotStick.

How much line in the spool?

Details:
It doesn't say a thing about the amount of line per spool. I'm guess 500 or 1,000?

only 200 yds per spool but I use backing and tie on only 75 yds of Tatsu. Why waste all that line?
