These lights are all that you will need to light up your boat at night. I have a center console boat and a mounted one on either side about a foot off the deck and to the rear and the other one in the front of the console and there is plenty of light no matter if they are one white light or red light! The boat is lit up yet not so bright as to mess up your night vision. I would recommend these to anyone!

I was disapointed with lite. I had to drill a 1 1/2 inch hole for room to make connections behind lite. I felt that the base was also flimsy for the price of the lite.

Installed on my 16' center console jon boat around the base of the console, one on each side. Great light on the white setting and when night fishing for cattys the red is great for just waiting for a a fish, not super bright but enough to walk around and see.

I assume, for example, that the light is wired to your 12 volt battery, on a boat?Answers

The wires are not long enough to run all the way to your battery. I think mine were about 12 inches long. Just add in a short heat-shrink wire connector and enough 14-16 gauge wire to reahc the battery or terminal block. Don't forget to add in a fuse. Very easy to install. I had two installed in less than 20 minutes.
