Best sliders yet These sinker sliders by Sea Striker are great. They allow you to add and remove your sinker without cutting your line, which makes for a quick rigging and quick removal for pole storage. I used them when I went to the west coast of Florida, to do some surf fishing, there was a lot of seaweed. They held on like champs, dragging the stuff with it. They also saved my line when I got snagged. I was using model #QS5-P3, tail loop version, gave a good yank and line free. Still had my line, hook and slider. Also unlike egg sinkers and other sliders that I have tried. These are gentle on your line. No fraying and your line flows through like water through a pipe. February 21, 2014
very useful item We really liked the convienience of these slides, so you could change your set--up without having to redo your pole if you want to change fishing tactics. I wish the "lock" was a little tighter, you just need to check them from time to time to make sure they are still "locked", all in all a good product for our purposes (bottom fishing for catfish) and we will be ordering more in the future. I recommend them for anyone who likes to switch from bottom fishing to bobber or lures. With these you do not have to retie all your gear or change out swivels etc to get rid of the bigger sinkers. Not Recommended For Surfcasting Tried these while surfcasting off Florida. Opened twice in one day when the fish broke water! Lost two 6 ounce sputnick sinkers at $5 each. Even though they were put on properly, they will open when stressed. I went back to the cheap sinker sliders I've used for years with no problems. It's better to tie a new knot than to lose those expensive sinkers. April 10, 2012
