Fish over and around weedbeds, lily pads, limbs, and stumps with the weedless Scum Frog. It's super-soft body allows you to fish places other lures can't get to, and it possesses plenty of fish catching power.

I have a seasonal campsite and our shore line fishing is difficult do to floating moss and scum. The bass love these waters but it's hard to fish threw. These frogs float across the scum like nothing else. They are a little tricky to get a good hook set. When you see the bass explode threw the muck you want to react, but you need to wait just a second or two to let the fish get the lure in it's mouth then set the hook hard and hold on. You will have plenty of strikes to practice and get the hang of it. Sometimes when a fish hits it the whole skin gets pushed up on the line and even flipped inside out but it is always easy to straighten back out and is good as new. I have used several colors and not noticed any difference in color to number of strikes they all work great.
They only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the bass tend to take the hook deep in the gullet and it can really damage the fish. So if you are a catch and release only fisherman this might not be your best choice.

I will always have these in my tackle box. I go through many of these during the late summer and early fall when I am fishing in heavy lily pad cover and other vegetation. Early in the morning before sunrise, these are great to work along shore line close in. Does not seem to matter what color.

Great for large and small mouth bass. Cast into weeds and bring them out. It won't get tangled. Great lure.
