This is one of the best items that anyone who uses a fly rod and goes on any kind of watercraft with basic rod holders absolutely needs. Combine this with the extension piece and it works great in my yak. Only place where you can purchase these items separately.

Is there a way to attach to the pontoon boat frame tubing or some other out of the way spot while rowing, but handy to reach spot. I just want to use it while rowing from spot to spot.
