The line performs very well. The load and shooting with the line gives me good distance even with a moderate wind.
I"ll continue to use it for my dry's and light weight nymphs.

I was in the market for a cast-able 5wt line and I was looking at lines in the $100 range, so when I was told about Headstart I was skeptical of buying at first. Most inexpensive 5wt lines are tough to cast but after comparing diameters with the higher end brands l was sold. I've been using the Headstart for about 2 months now and I really like it, I am able to shoot 40 to 50 feet of line with minimal effort. I've even consider changing my 8wt line to Headstart. Great product from Scientific Angler.

been flyfishing only a few seasons, this is great line.easy casting,easy mending,light presentation. it works very well with both dry flies and nymphs. and its a great price.
