I;ve used hunting elk in the rocky mountains of colorado. For the past week I/ve wore this with the smack down jacket under it, so when the weather clears up and gets warm I put the jacket in my pack. It would ne more than affective all day when not climbing the mountains 6 to 10 miles in rough terrain per day. In a treestand it will ne excellent all of october on the southeastern colorado river bottoms. It's 100 percent water proof and perfect for midseason in the midwest, or late season in the south. It's not as warm as the outfitter and in my opinon a more low profile fit. I will wear under the mack daddy in late season as midlayer for bitter cold waether. Try it you'll be glad you did."
