Scentote arrived with one handle/latch broken. The handle/latch was lying inside the Scentote, inside shipping container, and there were no broken pieces inside either ship container or Scentote. The latch/handle had to have been placed (already broken) inside the Scentote prior to placement in the shipping container. Waited a week for the item to be shipped to local store for pickup, and now have to drive 25 miles to return. Bummer! Should have opened shipping container and checked item before leaving store. Live and learn.

I have 2 of these storage totes. The first has been in use for years with no problems. I've had great success fooling whitetails noses since I've implemented my scent free regimen. These totes are a key factor to keeping my clothing as scent free as possible. While I'd love to see this product at $50 or less... It is still a great product. I'd rate this product at 5 stars if price were lower.

This thing is awesome. Wash your clothes in scent killing detergent, dry clothes with one of the hunting dryer sheets, then throw it in the tote. You can put the sack thing in there for calls and accessories. The carbon web at the top takes any scent left out of the clothes and accessories. I am going to buy another or even 2 before the season starts.

I refresh mine by drying it in the clothes dryer similar to my scentlok clothing. 30 to 40 minutes on Med. heat once or twice a year.

Your tote is defective and missing important hardware. Send it back for replacement!

There are locking handles to hold the lid down. But inside the lid there is a small piece of foam that goes around just inside the edge of the lid and when you lock the handles down, the foam pushes down on the rim of the tote to make it scent tight.

To my knowledge the hard scentote is supposed to be equipped with two locking handles. I was recently at Bass Pro Shops competitor store and all of theirs had two locking handles.God bless and good hunting!
