1. Yes, this product packs easily.2. "Bio" refers to biological contaminates like cysts, bacteria, protozoans, etc. "Viral" refers to viruses like enterovirus, hepatitis A, norovirus, rotavirus, etc. Typically, viruses are much smaller than biological contaminates and harder to get rid of, however, both can be deadly contaminates.

2 of them say Bio, one says Viral. Does the Bio protect you from Viral and vice-versa?Answers

First, the water treatment system in just that, you fill the system with any waret you are able to find and the ststem cleans the water to make it drinkable, the second item is somewhat similar to the first but you need to start with water that is somewhat clean to begin with and this item will filter the water to make it cleaner but does not treat the water to the same degree as the first "treatment" system. Finally, the third item is simply a filter to help filter out the impurities that may be contained in even our city water supplies.Details:Â

cleaning filter during extended field use

Yes, and it is a very easy and fast to do. When the blue bag is full with clean water, simply disconnect the hosing from the gray end of the filter and squeeze the bag. The clean water will then back flush the filter in seconds. Even though it is possible to back flush the filter in the field, it is rare that you should have to do so even in very turbid water since there is so much surface area on the filter.1 of 1
