Savage 17HMR M93 Rifle with AccuTrigger - Green Laminate Stock
I had the salesman bring out 3 of these rifles, but it only took the first one to bite. The stock feels great and the weaver mounts made it easy to fit a Bushnell Trophy XLT 4-12x40. with high Weaver mounts (1mm of clearance from target barrel)
The target barrel is beefy! The rifle also came with a quality magazine (not the junk one from other .17's)
only refinement required to the stock was to razor the laminate at the foreend.

I bought this rifle as a gopher gun instead of a .22 on the suggestion of numerous forums. I couldn't be more happy. The rifle is a tack driver. After zeroing at 50 yds I was making 5 shot groupings within a quarter at 100 yds. Feeling a little cocky, I set up five 12 gauge hulls as targets and knocked the primer out of each with the first attempt again from 100 yds. Took the gun out for the first gopher shoot a week ago with similar results. Making one shot kills from 75 to 150 yds. I am told that I am no longer allowed to bring the gun on gopher trips as I can easily take out varmints twice the distance being shot by my counterparts equipped with .22's. Fat chance. Sure the price per bullet may be more than a .22, but when you are only taking one shot to make the kill, it probably evens out.

I purchased this gun and it became one of my favorites right away. It is extremely accurate and and the rifle itself feels great in your hands. This is the perfect rifle for coyote hunting. After we got the scope sighted in went 10 for 10 on the target set at 100 yrds. WOW this gun is SWEET!

I purchased this gun about a year ago, very accurate, sighted in at 100 yds, the new clip has a tendency to not keep the cartridges in, but with a little tweeking it works well . somewhat heavy with a bipod, and a massive scope on it, but a great buy none the less.
