The Savage® 16/116 FCSS Weather Warrior Bolt-Action Rifle is designed and manufactured to deliver exceptional out-of-the-box accuracy, even in the harshest weather conditions. The Savage Weather Warrior features the synthetic Accustock® that beds the receiver against aluminum pillar blocks to eliminate any change in point-of-impact due to wet weather. A free-floated, stainless steel barrel eliminates any pressure on the barrel as it heats up to further enhance consistency. Savage's AccuTrigger® is easily adjustable by user to get a light, crisp release with no creep, while a lever mounted within the trigger body blocks the sear unless the trigger is intentionally pressed in the center, virtually minimizing the risk of accidental discharge. The basic bolt design assures that the locking lugs fully contact the receiver, holding the headspace to a minimum every time the bolt is locked. A 3-position receiver tang safety is easy to reach with the shooter's thumb, and allows the rifle to be loaded and unloaded in the safe position. A detachable magazine provides quick and safe reloading and unloading. The stainless steel receiver is drilled and tapped for scope mounts. The Savage 16/116 FCSS Weather Warrior is a rugged and reliable bolt-action rifle well suited for hard-core big game hunting.

I Love This Gun!! I bought one of these in Jan. of 09. I bought some FMJ to target practice with since hunting season was over with in TN. This gun is very accurate and comfortable to shoot. You have to love the accua trigger you dont move the gun trying to pull the trigger like i have done and seen done by other guns. I was shooting the FMJ's arond 200 yds and all shots were in a 1 1/2" circle. I now use the 220gr remington core lokts in it for hunting. i started it out at 60 yds to get it zero'd back in then i moved it back out to about 175 yards to see where it would shoot and baam! Dead center. I would recommend this gun to anyone that likes quality and performance because this gun has it all. Well hope this helps i know i sure love it. September 9, 2011
fantastic rifle this is a great rifle, i had a long range rifle project in mind and this gun really simplified it. with the accustock and accutrigger you're ready to go long range. highly suggest breaking in the barrel(midway usa shows you how), and while i was doin this i was using federal powershock 30-06 180s and i had 3shots in the same hole once, and 2 shots in the same hole several times. not just touching(most were), but these few were same hole. but i chose to zero the gun with hornady custom 165 btsp because the boat tail provides less bullet drag, meaning better long range accuracy. overall a fantastic rifle for the price! i love the remington 700 platform and handling but a 700 of equall components will run you closer to 1000$ than 700$. ex: 700sps ss -690$ with nothing special like this gun. if you like the sniper aspect of hunting, i highly suggest this gun! hope this helps July 31, 2011
