Picked up the savage yesterday went to the range today expecting to shoot a box or two to zero it in. Only fired 12 rounds. The first three were close made a couple of adjustments to scope and was dead on at 100 yards went to two hundred yards and after six rounds rifle was shooting a 1 inch group, this is the best shooting rifle I have ever used. Savage has made me a believer.I would recomend this gun to anyone who wants a flat shooting tac driver. The action is very smooth triger was a little stiff but didn't effect accuracy. Only thing I think they could improve is the plastic latch on the magazine.

Rated 5 out of 5 Best Varmint Rifle for the $$Buck
While this is not a "Pretty" gun and Heavy, this Gun WILL shoot. It. It is a solid built gun and I prefer the Synthetic Stock over wood due to my Prone shooting positions hunting Groundhogs. This is my Choice gun and have taken groundhogs out to 500 yards. With a 55 grain bullet there is very little drop from 100-200 yards. Easiest gun I have reloaded for and the Accutrigger make a tremendous difference. If you go to Gun shows they aren't for sale...cause they shoot and people do not get rid of them.

no it only comes in rite handed models butt savage makes other great guns that are left handed1 of 1
