Savage 11/111 Trophy Hunter XP Rifle with Scope Combo
Savage® 11/111 Trophy Hunter XP Rifle with Scope
I was in search for a replacement for my Remington .270. While in the store I was expecting to buy a Tikka to go with my Tikka 30.06. I was shown a Savage .270 and it was instant love. This is a terrific rifle. The fact that it came with a Nikon scope was icing on the deal. All my other rifles have Nikon scopes as well so I have the same system across the board. This gun has a sweet trigger and its accuracy cannot be beat by guns three times the cost. I have had the gun for 10 months and have shot five deer in that time. If you buy this gun and do not like it there is something wrong with you !!!! Buy It !!!

Savage is the best rifle for the money on the market right now and since they are including a Nikon scope in a package deal you cannot beat the price. The Accutrigger is the best! Don't even waste your time with the new less expensive Remingtons because this is a far superior gun.

my search is over!
I was soul searching and pricing and came across the Savage 11 / 111 trophy hunter xp in 300 win.mag and liked all that came with it especially the accutrigger and nikon scope. I decided to take a chance and made the initial investment. Best decision i ever made! Straight out of the box and a few clicks at the range i was dead on and 2 inches high at a 100 yards. Went deer hunting and tagged out with 3 does and my trophy 8 point buck which I killed with a 280 yard perfect 1 shot kill from a ridge top! Perfect, accurate, light, flawless, reliable, dead on! My search is over. ..i found my soul mate! Even in 300 win.mag the recoil wasn't noticeable to me or my 12 yr.old son who shot his first doe with this same rifle! Don't hesitate. ....this is the one!

Good rifle, awful out of the box scope mount
This rifle is starting to sight in nice and group well at 50, 100 and 200 yards. However, the scope mounting out of the box is horrible. Between my friends, family and I, 3 out of 3 guns were not even bore sighted, scope mounts were lose, etc... Before shooting this, bore sight the gun/scope and lock tight the scope mounts. My guns scope was so far off that it wouldn't have hit the target or the box holding it from 50 yards away.
