i have the 8# and use it for steel head. It weighs very little and has held up very well. i tripped when i first got it a little more than a year ago and broke the butt of the handle off and a few eyes, sent it in with the required $50 and they sent it back completely fixed. so i know the warranty is good as long as you dont mind paying $50. i will be using this rod for pike this spring and am very excited. great sensitivity and feel.

I found the Sage Flight to be a true fast-action, high performance 5 wt., good for the Windy West. The only other Sage 5 wt. I have owned was the RPLXI and while this rod isn't quite up to that level in overall feel, the action seems about as fast and does a good job on hooksets as well.

After flyfishing for several years, i decided to upgrade from my Orvis Streamline rod and bought a 950-4 Sage Flight. I was amazed at how much further and more accurately I was casting immediately, without even thinking about it. The Flight has a god feel but is slightly less sensitive than my old rod. Casts great though and is light and nicely finished.

I really didn't care for this rod at all. I think that it had the same issue as the VT2, just an overall lack of feel. To me, both rods simply felt, "dead". I could cast both rods without issue, but they really fall far short of other rods that cost much less.
