This is my second pepper spray (the first was not purchased at bass pro), and I like this model much better. With this one, I feel much more confident that I would be able to get it unlocked and spraying with the urgency that I would need it. The flip side to that is that the "lock" is somewhat easily undone, and sometimes comes off in my purse, so I have developed a habit of checking it when I pull my lanyard out of my bag and flipping it back if it needs to be re-locked. I am happy with the purchase and will be buying this model for my mother and sister, as well as the jogging model of it. It is slightly bulky on my lanyard, but I don't find it to be a problem.

I also know that some pepper spray makes you turn the button/clip thing so you can spray it and so that it doesn't spray on accident. i was wondering if this pepper spray also has that feature.

I purchased mine in March of 2012 and the label on the spray says it expires in January of 2016. This model does have a locking feature, it requires you to slide a clip in order to push the button down.

This spray has a "safety" feature. You have to turn the push button to the active position for it to work.
