Big Water, Big Hooks
Great Lakes walleyes are big and mean. They live in clear, open water and they're used to locating their prey from a distance and smashing it on the run. So, to ensure optimal hooking, we advise swapping out the rear trebles on your crankbaits. Go one size larger -- not enough to affect the action, but enough of an increase in hook gap to up your percentages!

Tough molded bodies and irresistible side-to-side crayfish action has made the legendary Mag Wart a mainstay in many a professional angler's tacklebox. Equipped with a cadence-style rattle, integrated lip design and super strong hooks, the Mag Wart family can help you dial in the biggest fish in the lake. 2-3/4''; 3/4 oz.; #5 hook. Dives 8-13'.

Rated 4.9 out of 5 by 8 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by best purchase One of my best lures. I always have them when I go fishing. April 13, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by worth the money I do alot of river fishing. The mag wart has alot of action. I get alot of reaction baits when the are not active. August 1, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great crankbait Successful fishing requires confidence in your tackle. My confidence is built around the tackle I use and for an all around crankbait, I use the Storm Mag Wart and Wiggle Wart. Although a deep diver, it floats. Knowing that informatin, I successfully use the Wart in cover and grass, carefully adjusting my retrieve not to get entangled in the grass or brush. It takes some finess, but the float aspect of the lure allows me to let the lure rise up and over submerged brush and to skirt along the top of grass. I have caught more bass on this crankbait than any other crankbait that I have used. The lure action is great. It is my crankbait of choice when I am working grass/cover/shoreline to locate fish. Different colors are important. I like the fact that I can work the lure shallow, mid-level, deep. All dependent on my retrieve. July 6, 2011

I wouldn't troll the Wart. I would "drag" using the troll motor at low speed.

I fish it in shallow water and the action is great. Just need to adjust your retrieve action and coordinate that action with the float aspect of the lure.

Yes you can, but it will dig along the bottom. I would suggest the wiggle wart because it doesn't run as deep, Or a hot n tot.
