Rated 1 out of 5 by Doesn't swim I agree with those who say this lure doesn't swim. It just lays on its' side and doesn't wiggle at all. I'm returning mine. May 11, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by ...great shad... ...like...i have used these shad for a while now.. they have been loved by the smallie and the little "stripes" in the St.Clair river... i dont get the issues with this part...i use them alot and i have caught MAD amouts...butt...thats just how i bounce... ...yet another great bait to teach the young ones with...easy to catch with when the crush is on... April 13, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Pike and bass! This lure catches a ot of pike and bass, i cast it our reel and twitch or let it fall and reel it in! Works great, buy a few because they get tore up! Color 94 (the bluegill one) September 3, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Ultra Realistic Amazingly realistic swimming. The multitude of colors are great for any water clarity level. August 5, 2012

I just bought one and it swims on its side, and just flops on top of the water with anything faster than a super super slow retrieve. The only good action I have gotten is when I jerk, let it sink, jerk, etc etc. I assume this is a bad one I should return?

It's not just cuts... the "joint" is molded so that the connecting material between the sections is about 1/6 the maximum thickness. The adjoining section extends over the "joint" kind of like a bevel-in-vee design,

Not jointed but the "cuts" give it incredible action. I have caught largemouths, smallmouths, catfish , gar pike and spawning salmon on this lure. For smallmouths I fish it in real fast current pulling it fast until it breaks the surface then let it fall back and they destroy it!
