I used it on sweet gum saplings and it dented and chipped several big pieces of the blade. I would not recommend this machete except maybe for weeds or grass.

SOFT, WAY TOO SOFT CHIPPED, DENTED, SMALL BODOCK TREE LIMBS , CEDAR LIMBS, DAMAGED THE BLADE... REALLY SURPRIZED AT THE BAD QUALITY ..I OWN SEVERAL DIFFERENT SOG KNIVES AND THEY ARE WELL MADE BUT THIS SOGFARI IS REALLY POOR QUALITY.
