SOG SEAL Pup Fixed Blade Knife
A friend gave me his used Seal Pup, so I decided to take it along on trips where I needed an "extra" knife for jobs that might damage a blade. Three years later I'm still looking for something that this knife can't do well. Extremely strong blade holds its edge well, and the partial serration is great for cutting rope or cord (or wood in emergencies, as I found out). The handle is sturdy enough to withstand use as a temporary hammer with no ill effects, and provides a sure grip even with cold/wet/bloody hands. Small enough that you don't even notice it's on your belt or in your pack, but the blade is large enough (and tough enough) for just about anything you might need to do. No question I'll purchase another one when mine wears out (if it ever does).

This was my first "real" knife. I've had for over 2 years now and it still works just as great as it did 2 years ago! I've used this knife for everything from cutting pvc pipes, marking trees, and finishing my hogs. Everything about this knife is great except for one thing, the grip. its a bit jagged and it can get rough on your hand if you don't hold it properly fit to the size of your hand. If your looking for a knife to be there just when you need it or one to use daily in vigorous activities, I would highly recommend this knife!

This SOG SEAL Pup has TAIWAN printed right on the blade. This model is put together in Taiwan because it is much cheaper than than producing them in Washington or Japan as SOGs are supposed to be produced. Do yourself the favor and order the SEAL Pup that has the TiNi blade and the ridged top because this one doesn't carry either of those features. It will cost around $10 more but well worth it. Bass Pro does not carry the original SOG.
