A fine hunting knife that comes out of the box razor sharp. The handle's rounded shape fits nicely into the palm and the knife has a great weight...when looking for a blade that will last a lifetime, you get what you pay for and this knife is very reasonably priced.

I have not put this to an extensive or extreme test, but I can say that at first use it is very sharp out of the box(my finger will tell you that). It is just the right size to be serious, but not so big that it is impracticle. I used it for light chopping of tinder for the fire and it worked well. I also de-branched a dead evergreen bush. it worked very well for this.
The only negative I can see so far, is that the snap loop on the sheath tends to slide around which makes it sometimes awkward to unsnap or resnap while on your hip. That is a sheath issue not a knife issue. I am happy with it especially since I had 35$ worth of gift card to use towards it,but I would say it is worth the full price.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by southflredneck good knife good price
i bought this knife to have a good field knife. i was happy with the balance and weight. not to little not to much. the edge is good enough to shave with out of the box. the balance is near perfect, the weight is good. it cleanly carves tenderloin, and seems so far to hold a really good edge. i reccomend this knife for anyone looking for a good field knife. very good knife to give to give a young hunter as a second night

Rated 5 out of 5Â by FrankH Great field knife
I bought this knife recently and took it to the field on a deer hunt in the mountains. Wore it on my belt and it didnt get in the way, is very sharp, and i prefer the leather sheath to plastic ones offered with other knives. Handle is nonslip type, not bulky and overall very comfortable. the blade is sharp. very sharp and functional. I will take it to the field again as my primary knife.
