SHE Outdoor Bayou Zip BONE-DRY Waterproof Camo Snake Boots for Ladies
Thwart the Snakes!
Just got my boots and immediately went for a walk in the swamp. Comfortable! and waterproof! I finally had no fear walking in areas I would not have before. I go on artifact digs and needed to feel confidant that if bitten by a rattler, I would be OK...and so I did. Point of Note: I broke my leg and ankle 2 years ago and when I first put the boot on I wanted to cry and thought I would have to send them back. My foot, which does not bend normally, was stuck in the area where the foot enters the turn toward foot/ boot entrance. I allowed the foot to sit in the boot for a few minutes, the ankle relaxed and voila! I was able to put the boot on!

I bought these boots primarily because I'm terrified of snakes and was planning two separate hiking trips through rattlesnake country. They fit right out of the box and were incredibly comfortable. There was no break-in time necessary, which was good because I put them on for the first time on our trip. Not a very smart idea, but I trusted the other reviews. After a three mile hike over dangerously sharp lava beds in El Malpais National Park (also known as the bad lands), they were just as comfortable and even saved me from a possible broken or sprained ankle after I caught my foot in a crack and fell. I'm standing on one of the lava beds in the attached picture. I did buy them a full size larger, also based on the other reviews, and I was glad I did because the fit was slightly loose but very comfortable. Be careful if you're overweight, though, because the calf part of the boot might be kind of tight. I weigh 150 and there was not much room for error when zipping them up.

I wear these to hike through a swamp area to get to my tree stand. They are very comfortable and keep my feet BONE DRY! I have non-insulated and my feet (which stay cold all the time) stay warm in these. I have no worry of snake or thorn bushes. I purchased a size 7 which is what I normally wear, and they fit perfect even with thicker socks. I agree they are a little difficult to get on at first, but that gets better after the first wear. I am 5'4" and 125lbs and they fit my calf well with pants tucked in. I highly recommend these boots!

Awesome Boots for the Price
We have raw land in the Texas hill country, lots of cactus, and all things with thorns, snakes, etc. I used to wear ¾ hi top boots that did not protect my lower legs. As another female reviewer said, there was no break in time with these boots. Fresh out of the box I wore these boots for over 9 hours, digging cactus, mowing on a riding mower, etc., these boots felt like I had worn them for years, no blisters. I never realized how I “tip towed” through the brush in my ¾ tops until I wore these boots, I just walked through it all, relaxed, cactus needles, etc. had no effect on them. I have not tested them for the water proof part but based on the way they are made, I can see that they will be great in deep water.
