This is a great idea. Its covered in rubber so there is no noise when my electronics slap it. It fits my Bushnell Scout 1000 range finder perfectly. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because the cord makes some noise as it retracts/detracts and its very hard to pull. The quick detach is smart, but I wish the button wasn't so hard to get to. The clamp is a little wide and to open for a belt. So it won't be solid on your side. It stays solid as a rock on my Readhead Diamondback backpack. In the end it is a essential tool in the hunting woods.
