I bought this revolver in 1974 ( for a lot less than they sell for today) and it is still my favorite handgun. I have 3 semi autos and 3 revolvers and this is still the most accurate and fun to shoot. I can shoot .22LR all day and not break the bank. 22 Mag is a bit pricey but fun to shoot also. Cleaning is easy and changing cylinders is a snap.

I bought mine approximatly 40 years ago for $100.00. Glad go see the weapon has apreciated in value. What I like best about the firearm is its accuracy. What I like least is cleaning the firearm. Not as easy as my S&W 9mm. I was told the newer firearms are made with the ease of cleaning incorporated into the manufacturing process. This, I was told, is because many folks do not clean thier weapons, if there is a a certain degree of dificulty in the disassembly process.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Richard39042 Great .22 revolver
This is simply the best .22 revolver I have ever owned. It is unbelievably accurate and because of the single action, a great gun to learn on or teach a youngster how to shoot.
The .22 mag cylinder is nice, and it takes about five seconds to change the cylinders. The only fly in the ointment is that the .22 mags are sometimes hard to find at a good price. But, it is nice to be able to switch to them for hunting.
If you want a .22 for just plinking, target shooting, hunting, or teaching a kid firearms safety and pistol marksmanship, you just can't do better than one of these guns. Ruger really did this one right.
