Description:
MA, MD Compliant

The Ruger® SR9c® Compact Semi-Auto Pistol provides shooters with a low-maintenance, rugged, and reliable concealed carry handgun. The matte SR9c has an alloy steel slide, finished in a hardwearing, non-reflective black nitrate finish that won't give the gun's position away in bright sun light or under artificial lights; front and rear serrations provide a positive grip when loading or unloading the pistol. To ensure reliable operation with a shorter barrel and slide, the SR9c (Compact) uses a dual captured recoil spring and guide rod. With its lightweight, slim design, the SR9c semi-automatic pistol is comfortable for concealed carry all day, with most any type of clothing. Its ergonomic grip has an easily reversible backstrap that allows shooters the choice of a curved or straight backstrap. The SR9c features a structurally rigid, glass-filled nylon grip frame that reduces recoil and enhances handgun control, and the front of the frame has a built-in Picatinny rail for modern handgun accessories. The high-visibility 3-Dot sight system provides quick and easy target acquisition, with adjustment for elevation and windage. A loaded chamber indicator can be seen or felt, providing confirmation of a loaded or empty chamber. The Ruger SR9c Compact Semi-Auto Pistol has an ambidextrous manual safety and magazine release that are easily reached and actuated during stressful situations. Comes with one 10-round, flush-fitting magazine, and one 17-round magazine with a grip extension. State compliant model comes with two 10-round magazines. Made in USA.

Sweet!!! I went to the range and rented an S&W M&P 9c and a Ruger SR9c and shot them both equally. I could hardly tell any difference except the Ruger has a thumb safety in addition to the other safety features. "Made in the USA". I cleaned and lubed the gun and went to the range. Shot 100 rounds of WWB and 100 rounds of cheap bulk ammo w/o a failure of any kind. Slim enough to carry IWB esp. with the 10 rd mag. Ruger.com has lots of videos on disassembling, cleaning, and reassembly. Highly recommend this little gun. Also the 17 rd mag. included will fit the standard SR9 and vice versa, and it has a pop up indicator that shows if there is a cartridge in the chamber. (you can see it plainly on top of the gun in the pic) December 18, 2012
Dependable, easy CC I have fired 1k+ rounds from cheap to expensive and all grain ranges. LOVE how I pull the trigger and KNOW where I am going to hit the target. Never misfired April 6, 2013
Best compact 9mm in the market ! I bought this gun new and out of the box the accuracy and trigger were amazing. I had at the time a Sig 232 in .380 and the Ruger SR9C is better due to being a 9mm gun and actually is easier to shoot with basically a very mild recoil. Ruger means quality, durability and piece of mind, I've put close to 1000 rounds thru this little wonder and had NO failures of any kind. I'm so glad I decided to buy this gun, my evaluation is A BIG 5 January 17, 2012
Well done Ruger I purchased this item over 6 months ago and must say that it has been a welcome piece to my collection. The first time I fired the SR9c I used 116 rounds of Winchester FMJ. The gun jammed 10 times out of the 116 and left me very frustrated. The spent shells were getting stuck when the gun was fired thus forcing me to clear the jam by hand. I read some reviews online and decided that I should have cleaned the gun before firing in the first place. After a quick, but thorough, cleaning I used the gun again. I have put over 500 rounds through since the first time I used the gun when it jammed and have yet to have another jam. The gun is easy to use, very accurate and slender. This is an extremely user friendly gun and I suggest trying it out at your local range. April 7, 2011

Assuming you aren't shooting at the fish, but just want something to carry when your in remote areas, you bet. I'm a cyclist and a backpacker, and wanted something relatively light but would be comfortable at the range. It will accept a laser and with a 17 round mag and out of the box reliability it seems idea for protection.

I carry my SR9c with me just about everywhere. If possible, I would use something like a shotgun for home protection but if the SR9c is easier to get to in a hurry, then I would grab it every day of the week.

Yes, Yes and kinda

Personal carry it will be great. For fishing it will be a good oops gun but for home protection, go with a larger caliber with higher capacity.

Depending on how big the gun show is where you shop and the variety you carry they may or may not keep them stocked. But, every shop can order them for you, if you don't mind waiting a week or so to get it.
