I am new to pistols. I chose this one after extensive research. I love this gun, but about 800 rounds through it. The only problem I had was when I used a Winchester white box ammo. I have used other brands since then and no issues. I like the safety features and how easy it is to clean. I have the SR9 Full size. Would recommend this to any beginner as well as to experienced shooters.

The SR9 is a bit stiff firing out of the box. However after some use the mechanism limbers up and improves. Great firearm and performed well for my CHL qualification.

Fired 100 rounds of target ammo this weekend. No hang ups and good accuracy. I love the safety features that indicate when the chamber is loaded. Light weight and fun to shoot

This is my first gun purchase. The first time on the range with a hundred rounds, the trigger failed to reset one third of the time. Tried multiple brands, grains, magazines, and users...same thing. Shipped it back to Ruger for repair. Very disappointing, considering the Ruger reputation. I do like the safety features, with the safety switch and the loaded chamber indicator, however if the gun fails to fire in self defense...not very safe.
