Rated 4 out of 5 by Works but a little off Go this for my Ruger 10/22. Mag works fine with the ammo. If I have the rifle upside down to look at the mag then I can't get it out. Something about the dimensions or mag are off just enough to bind in that position. Drops out fine in the normal upright position. The mag my ruger came with does not have this issue. Sanded and filed the edges of the plastic a bit and issue persists. That said in terms of working the ammo and getting into the mag for cleaning its the same as the one the rifle came with. Rated 4 out of 5 by The Original and Highest Standard I have 3 of these replacement magazines for my Ruger 10/22s. They are reliable and feed most brands of ammo with ease. After a couple hundred rounds it is important to clean the front of the steel lips (directly below the tip of the bullet when loaded). This is the area the new rounds will pass to feed so keeping the spent powder and residue to a minimum will ensure dependable service. The only drawback I see with these magazines is that there is no way to access the inside of the magazine to clean it. Due to the fact it it is a rotary design you cannot simply reach straight down into the mag and sweep it out with a q-tip. I give these mags a good shower of Rem Oil and then store them upside down on top of paper towels. This gets most of the powder and residue out. Tactical Innovations and Ruger's 25 round magazine can be taken apart so you can fully clean these higher capacity mags. These are still terrific magazines that have been in service for decades. I would steer clear of Winchester's Super-X ammo. I have found that they are the only rounds that did not feed consistently with this magazine. January 19, 2012
