Ruger Replacement Magazines
77/22 = 10/22
I bought these thinking they'd work for my 10/22. They do, without issue. I couldn't be more pleased than I am.

Works but a little off
Go this for my Ruger 10/22. Mag works fine with the ammo. If I have the rifle upside down to look at the mag then I can't get it out. Something about the dimensions or mag are off just enough to bind in that position. Drops out fine in the normal upright position. The mag my ruger came with does not have this issue. Sanded and filed the edges of the plastic a bit and issue persists.
That said in terms of working the ammo and getting into the mag for cleaning its the same as the one the rifle came with.

77/22 mag in a 10/22 rifle, NOT
I bought one of these by accident. Both the salesman and I didn't really look at the package. I got it home not looking at the package and throwing the empty package in the trash, and found out later that it didn't fit into my Ruger 10/22. My son and I worked on it for hours thinking that it was the Camo wrap on my 10/22 was causing the mag compartment to be too small. I finally realized that the mag was larger than the one that came with the rifle. So I worked on it more (filing it down in width) and it finally was able to fit in. Took it to the range and had some jams from it. Then I went back to Bass Pro and saw that there were both BX1 (for the 10/22) and JX1 (for the 77/22) mags that looked very similar. I had actually bought the wrong one. I've read online that some say they both work on the 10/22, but IT DON'T WORK WELL ON MINE. Don't bother trying to use it in your 10/22, it's a waste of time.
