A great choice for a dependable back-up or personal defense carry pistol, the Ruger LCP Pistol's compact and lightweight design is ideal for all-day carry.  Measuring just 5.16''L x 3.6''H x .8''W and weight just 9.4 oz. unloaded, the LCP still delivers capable stopping power with its .380 Auto payload.  Designed with both male and female shooters in mind, the LCP features a rugged, hardened steel slide and lightweight, high-performance, glass-filled nylon grip frame. Integral, fixed front and rear sights.  Recessed hammer.  Comes with a finger grip extension floorplate for additional comfort and grip.
Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 22 reviewers.
Rated 3 out of 5 by happy so far I've been in the market for micro-compact pistol that I can keep the glove box, something I can stick in my pocket for quick trips into the store on the way home, etc. This pistol is in no way my EDC weapon, I carry a subcompact 9mm for that. I tried the pistol out with 100 rounds of ball ammo, zero malfunctions. Unfortunately I could only spare one magazine's worth of hollow point bullets to test it (90gr Cor-Bon), but they functioned as well, I hope to perform a more thorough test soon. The size and weight of the pistol is great, and the profile is smooth and snag-free. I've heard folks whine about the sights. They're about the best you can get on a gun this small. This is a point and shoot gun, just cover your target with the muzzle, like in trap shooting. The trigger is heavy, but short and smooth. The slide hold open is a nice feature for ranges with stingy safety officers. There are a few improvements that could be made. For the price, Ruger should've included an extra mag. Also, I don't like that there's a slide hold open, but it's completely manuel and doesn't engage after the last round is fire. There is no warranty and Ruger's QC leaves something to be desired. This is my second LCP m the first one I brought home didn't function. So, overall, I'm very pleased with this pistol, just make sure you test it thoroughly before trusting your life to it, and keep your receipt. July 16, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great gun This is a great gun if you have a CCW. I shot several boxes of ammo through it with no issues. The only problem I had with it was that the gun is too small for me. I have large hands and just cant keep a good grip on the gun. But thats not the guns fault, so I didnt let that hurt my rating on it. If you have small hands, then this is the gun for you. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Compact for CCW I replaced a bulky 9mm that was carried as a CCW with the Ruger LCP .380. The LCP .380 is easily carried in the pocket of about anything and is vertically sang proof. I have used a mixture of various ammo and never once did it fail to fire or jam. Accuracy is amazing at 25'. No doubt one of the best CCW I have been privileged to own. To make the purchase even better. Sign up for the BassPro Shop MasterCard and get a nice price reduction. I did some research and found a good price comparison + MasterCard savings and bought the pistol for well under $300. December 17, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great for CCW For your own protection you can't beat this pistol. Light ,so you will actually carry it. Accurate, at self defense distances. Follow up shots are quick if necessary. I have CT laser on mine because your not gonna have time to do all the stuff you train for shooting at paper. 250 rds so far and they all went bang. As for the caliber, I've yet to see anyone volunteer to take a hit from a 380. November 10, 2013

No. I dont think the .380 caliber would help. I would go with the Taurus Judge, which is the .410/.45 long colt.

Is this mass compliant ? If so is it available in your foxborough location. I have been trying to find out because I am a very small framed woman and this is perfect for a conceal carry for me , I do have a conceal carry license & have had trouble finding something that's not so bulky to carry . thank you for your time.

Cannot give you specific details on your area laws or requirements, but you really do not need the crimson trace laser on this firearm. Keep in mind most confrontations happen within 6'. The laser sights battery have a short shelf life and some are very expensive to replace.

This pistol has no external safety, so I'm sure it will never be offered in California.

You will need a current drivers license issued in the state of purchase. You may also need a State issued concealed carry permit or hunting/target permit to take the gun same day of sale.

Check local and state laws, but you should just need a state drivers license and possibly the completion certificate for the firearms safety course.
