The lightweight, compact design of the Ruger® LCP® Semi-Auto Pistol make it an ideal concealed carry gun, that's comfortable to carry all day, and quick to deploy. The LCP utilizes a double-action only, hammer-fired mechanism, with the hammer recessed into the rear of the slide to prevent snagging. The double-action only firing mode makes it simple to use in stressed situations—no levers or switches to remember—just point and shoot. The LCP features low profile front and rear sights integrated onto the slide that do not snag on clothing when pistol is drawn from a concealed position, and all sharp edges have been eliminated on the LCP to aid in concealment and to reduce wear on clothing. This LCP model features an alloy steel slide with a blued finish. Right-handed shooters can comfortably reach the magazine release on the LCP with their thumb, while left-handed shooters have no problem using their trigger finger. The mag release pushes in easily, but not so easily that the magazine pops out unexpectedly. Unlike many small semi-automatic pistols that operate with a blowback action, the Ruger LCP operates on a locked-breech system, which mitigates recoil and does not necessitate the user to pull the slide back against an excessively heavy recoil spring during loading. The LCP also has a manual slide hold-open latch for inspection and cleaning. The Ruger LCP is a well-designed, reliable Semi-Auto Pistol that one can count on in an emergency. Incudes 1 magazine extension and a soft case. Made in USA.

Ruger LCP .380 with Factory LaserMax
Coming into my local Bass Pro today, having narrowed
down my selection in this caliber to a Ruger LCP .380,I was all set to purchase,in addition to the Ruger, an after market Crimson Trace Laser adding about $161.to my new $339.weapon
The excellent salesman, also named Larry, who is extremely knowledgeable,a pleasure to work with and an overall nice guy (Ft.M Florida store)had assisted me with my other handguns, and had the solution to today's quest! For about $40. more money in stock was the Ruger LCP .380 with factory installed LaserMax laser.
Not minding LaserMax on off switch easily mounted to be pressed with finger from either hand I quickly added this fine lightweight American made hand gun to my collection. Thanks Larry and thanks Bass Pro,

cute little pistol
Never thought I'd be praising a pocket pistol but oh well, yes this is a neat little gun. My usual small carry is a SIG P238 but as you know to carry "cocked and locked" though usually safe does leave one uneasy. I saw they had this Ruger little guy on sale and had to see what this pistol was all about. Research found that the Ruger LCP is the most concealed carried pistol by model. Humm..can't be too bad.
Purchased it on sale and found it to be a easy carry. No sights or safety or hammer to get caught on the holster, clothing, etc. The trigger pull is constant though long. This little guy fits nicely in my hand and fits great in my front pocket. Whats not to like. Makes the perfect Summer carry.

Not as good as I hoped
I bought this for personal protection. That, in my opinion, is all it is good for. It doesn't shoot nice and has way to much recoil. The trigger pull is poor feeling making it hard to be accurate with a shot. I know this is a last resort gun but I think it should have stayed in research and development until a few things were added. A safety would be nice. A hammer pull would be nice. Trigger ease and smoothness could be worked on. A last shot slidelock would be nice. A clip with a standard finger extension would be nice. I think the way it sits now it is a $200 gun. If the changess were made I think it would be a $300 gun. I think it is way overpriced at $330 right now.(plus tax)

I find the gun not easy to use, maybe lack of practice. As far as accuracy, it is not easy because of the trigger. I would say I feel safer with it than carrying a .22, .25 or .32 calibers. Great for pocket concealment.

Is this mass compliant ? If so is it available in your foxborough location. I have been trying to find out because I am a very small framed woman and this is perfect for a conceal carry for me , I do have a conceal carry license & have had trouble finding something that's not so bulky to carry . thank you for your time.
