Ruger GP100 Revolver - Stainless
Solid as a rock @ Price you can afford
I own many Ruger firearms and I'd say they are the best value in the firearm industry. Buy S & W and pay a fortune for it and it'll last a lifetime. Buy a Ruger and pay a modest price and it'll also last a lifetime. Great quality, great reliability, troulbe free, shoots great, accurate and feels good in the hand. They resale well too. Helps if you clean them once in a while.

Excellent fire arm
I have the GP100 in the 6 inch barrel. these are excellent firearms which handle well and are accurate. I can knock the wings off a fly at a pretty good distance with it straight out of the box. cleaning is easy with the swing out cylinder. the action is smooth with a fairly light trigger. I prefer to shoot it by pulling the hammer back first instead of the double action trigger. the rubber grips also help to absorb what little recoil is not absorbed by the weight. the gun also handles .38 special rounds quite well so my girlfriend can shoot it.

Bought mine at a local pistol range in June and now realize I made the right choice. I also looked at the Taurus .357 but it is not as well built as the Ruger.
When I shoot .38 rounds I can not feel any recoil. The .357 has slight recoil which is reduced by the six inch barrel (.38 rounds are about $3 cheaper for target shooting. This gun is VERY accurate, easy to hold and Quality built. It's the best hand gun (3) I have. BPS has a fair price.

My Favorite Firearm
These are quality pieces that you will be able to hand down to the next generation. I bought this gun and added hogue grips, brighter sights, and polished it to a high shine. It is very pleasing aesthetically and shoots like a dream.
There are endless possiblilties for aftermarket additions for the GP100. They are very accurate with little to no recoil. I have a buddy that even takes down whitetails within 40 yards with his.
