I haven't been able to take this weapon out to shoot yet but I was very impressed by how well it was put together. It looks as good as the big boys in my collection, only slightly heavier. I also was impressed that the scope seemed to be of a better quality than you might expect for something that was so inexpensive. The Temperatures around here have been sub-zero, so I will have to either go to an indoor range or wait for a warm up.

I bought the Blackhawk to kill squirrels eating tomatoes in my garden. I brought it outside and there was a squirrel on the fence. I hit it on my first shot with cheap pellets using the iron sights. Once I put the scope on I hit another squirrel. Overall this is great gun.

yes, it is probably louder because the fps is higher and causes a sonic boom

I can't say for certain, 'cause I don't have this exact gun. But I have a similar break-barrel by Gamo and it's louder than a BB gun, but much quieter than a .22. I'd put it on par with a toy cap gun.Answers

I thought it was very hard to cock also, at first, but I suspect its the newness of the instrument . I am now just bending it over my knee while sitting and it seems to be getting easier every time. I am considering lubing it as suggested for the first time earlier than required to see if this will "loosen" it up a bit

put your feet together and put the butt on your feet so the barrel and your body are parrelell and then cock it and it will eventually wear in(i have one)1 of 1
