Ruger® Air Magnum .177 Caliber Air Rifle Combo
Awesome Air Gun
I am truly astounded that this is an air-power gun. I could go on and on about how excited I am to own one, but I'll simply say "AWESOME!!!' Be aware of certain major issues though: 1) This IS NOT s kids toy nor a plinker-- takes a lot of energy to charge before shooting, 2) Shoot quality, heavy (10-11 grain) pellets to maximize its accuracy potential, 3) It is very, very, HEAVY; serious mass weight, and lastly, 4) Shoot, shoot , and keep on shooting to realize how accurate this air rifle is. Lastly, you will be very disappointed if you buy economical brand pellets (hint). On the other hand, you will be greatly surprised at how devastating a .177 caliber really is on small game.

This air rifle is the most powerful I have ever fired and I have been shooting airguns for over 30 years. Fired PBA pellets in it and it approached 1500fps and sounded like a .223. Not your typical subdivision rifle but a heck of a hunting rifle. Installed a CP 4-16X40 on it and was shooting 1/2" at 35 yards. Even pellets in the 8gr weight range will go SS and crack like a small CF rifle. FUN!!! Get one and blue lock all the screws. You will love it!!! RWS, Crosman dome hunting worked best so far. PBA's did rather well, but very loud. I'm going to probably use pellets in the 10 gr range. Great trigger for the price.

only took a few shots
a friend of a friend brought this thing over to my house. its heavy as lead and the weight is almost all in the front which makes it very awkward to hold. surprisingly, the kick back was very little. im used to firing my remington vantage in my backyard which has a decent amount of kick to it. i took one shot with the ruger and my parents told me to shoot it somewhere else before the neighbors call the cops. this thing is crazy loud for a pellet gun, i have alot of trees in my backyards so all the sound echoed to make it even louder. we took the ruger elsewhere and continued to shoot it. its hard as [heck] to break the barrel and we didnt bother putting on the scope to try to callobrate it but it seem quite accurate and the 1400 FPS is more than sufficient enough to kill say a squirrel... or a moose. i would not suggest this for a small child. its too heavy and the volume of the shots is just plain scary. the screws were loose out of the box ad when tightened the stock still seemed loose. i would still suggest this purchase regardless of my lack of experience with it.
