Ruger Air magnum is adult powerful rifle very accurate very powerful and heavy.
For better accuracy use heavy pellet i recommended Barracuda Match 10.65 Grain real knock down power and real accurate under the sound barrier.
the scope is really useless because of the hard recoil i recommend clean and tight the screws on the rifle inspect your scope weaver rail mount because of the recoil get lose and fell off. I Buy a new UTG Compensation Mount for RWS Airgun with T06 Trigger, Black and is awesome I will buy this rifle on 22 caliber i love it and i recommended if you want your first rifle you wont be disappointed

I got this air rifle in Janurary 2011, still works awesome. It shatters glass bottles, It can kill squirrels id imagine. Very accurate and loud...It does break the sound barrier. Its penetrated an old steel shed in and out. Break style riffle one pump. i recommend it..

The Ruger Air Magnum is loud, it won't shoot straight, it won't group at all with either open sights or the scope. If I can't get it to shoot any better I will send it back to Ruger.

I am truly astounded that this is an air-power gun. I could go on and on about how excited I am to own one, but I'll simply say "AWESOME!!!' Be aware of certain major issues though: 1) This IS NOT s kids toy nor a plinker-- takes a lot of energy to charge before shooting, 2) Shoot quality, heavy (10-11 grain) pellets to maximize its accuracy potential, 3) It is very, very, HEAVY; serious mass weight, and lastly, 4) Shoot, shoot , and keep on shooting to realize how accurate this air rifle is. Lastly, you will be very disappointed if you buy economical brand pellets (hint). On the other hand, you will be greatly surprised at how devastating a .177 caliber really is on small game.
