Ruger® 10/22® Carbine Autoloading Rimfire Rifle
Great rimfire carbine.
I own a Ruger 10/22, and use it for both target shooting & varmint control. It is very accurate, I have a Nikon PROSTAFF scope on it and am able to get one hole groups while target shooting. It functions very well, I never had a jam or feeding / cycling problem. It is easy to operate for shooters just starting out. And there are alot of accessories readily availible for the 10/22 as well. I owned a few .22 rifles and the Ruger 10/22 is my favorite. I would highly recommend the 10/22 for anyone looking for a reliable, accurate & rugged gun.

Picked this up for my son last week, went out to the range and shot a box of federal bulk ammo. 500 rounds without a hiccup... great gun !

Is there anything better?
Bought my first 10/22 20+ years ago and it is still one of my favorites. Since then, it is the first gun I have started out both of my boys on in the shooting sports. It always performs well. Cycles ammunition flawlessly, mine has had easily 50,000 rounds run through it, and it shoots 1" groups at 100 yards, 2" with the cheapo plinking ammo. Love this little rig. You will too. The rabbits and squirrels living near you will hate it though, but only for a short time.......

A squirrel's worst nightmare
I got this gun not all that long ago for some target shooting and squirrel hunting, I put on a red dot sight with the Weaver styled scope mount it comes with. I have killed squirrels up to 60 yards with no problem at all. It rarely jams and I that is only with an aftermarket magazine from Butler Creek. The thing I love most about this gun is how easy it is to customize. Due to It's popularity, many parts, stock and custom, are available for this gun.
