This Round Lead Wire is a popular fly tying material that is the traditional method for adding weight to flies. Approximate lead wire/hook size match is .015 for #13 & 14 hooks, .020 for #12 & #10, .025 for #8 & #6, and .030 for #4 and larger hooks. 1/2 ounce spool.

BassPro was one of the few sites that listed 0.010" diameter lead wire for very small flies. This is the easy way to add very tiny amounts of weight to even the smallest hook - I'm glad I purchased it.

Works great when you need to add a little weight to a fly to get it to the proper depth that you need. Ties on well and doesnt move on you.

lead wire is measured my thickness, from .15 to .35. the higher the number the thicker the wire so the more weight it will supply with the same length of wire
