The drag mechanism is durable, heat resistant, and maintenance free while the 8-point friction system eliminates start-up friction. Machined 6061-T6 aluminum alloy one-piece spool and one piece frame to take years of battles; extensive use of carbon fiber reduces overall weight. The F1 Fly Reel also features a stainless steel spindle rotating inside of fully sealed stainless steel ball bearings for a quick release locking spool. The reel's anodized finish is a perfect balance of hardness and color for use in all fresh, warm, and saltwater environments. Easy left-hand to right-hand retrieve conversion.
