Bought 2 Rome cast iron square pie irons. One cracked as soon as it was heated.

I like this pie iron because it is cast iron, not aluminum like cheaper ones. Hot ham and cheese sandwiches and fruit or pudding pies are easy, and tasty, to make with this pie iron. This is the perfect size to use with regular sliced bread. Be sure to properly season this like any cast iron piece.

Order two of these and one of them broke the very first time we used it. Worked fine for the first pie but on the second one when we tried to close it the cast hinge that holds it together broke.
